Minto no Ie

As usual, another episode that had a good balance of comedy and drama. I totally laughed out when Ami ‘tricked’ Taiga into rehearsing with her, and even more when Taiga wrestled Ami into a lock and everyone was just… crowding around them, like it was nothing. Pretty interesting scene at the end, too, where Ryuuji actually unleashes anger from within… and it’s directed at Taiga. Intense jump in character development, and I haven’t seen any spoilers, but I’m guessing Taiga’s father moving in with her is going to cause some major plot event (like, maybe she’ll actually have to move out of the apartment aka away from Ryuuji, which leads to blah blah realizations). Great episode. The comedy went down, but it was okay because it’s one of those episodes that had awesome dialogue where you have to read between the lines to really understand what the hell is going on. What’s nice is that it was so simple but it made me love the characters so much more (and at the same time, I’m hoping I got my interpretation correct). Anyway, Ami is becoming more… desperate, kind of. Even Ryuuji himself pointed out that it wouldn’t be him who would be lonely if he left, but Ami. I feel kind of sorry for her at this point because she seems so into Ryuuji, but she also figured out by herself that he liked Minori. I also liked her line, “You’re the moon and she’s the sun, she’ll only burn you out. You need to find someone more like you.” (more…)

I found Minori… extremely pretty in this episode, and not because of her character design (which is pretty cute but her hair can be too puffy at times) - but because of her sorta cool personality and her silly quirks. Anway, this episode was really good and extremely funny. I burst out laughing when Ami denied them as her companions when they were doing that silly hand thing in the train station. Taiga’s impressions of seeing Ami in the shower was hilarious, too. I found it even funnier that she just let Ami hit her after that - poor kid, she must have been so traumatized. Ryuuji’s trauma after Ami ‘tricked’ him was pretty funny, too. He went off and tattled to Taiga. (more…)

This episode was quite funny, but not the funniest, I suppose. Minori’s painted eyes cracked me up, though. It took me a while to realize what the hell was wrong with her face, and I had to pause it before I realized she was actually sleeping and put the ‘fake eyes’ on. I wish one of my classmates would do that. I think it would look a bit creepy, but I swear, I’m going to burst out laughing. Like I said before, I’m liking Minori’s character more and more. (more…)

It was a pretty interesting episode, and a bit… disturbing at times. Seriously, am I the only one who was disturbed by that cup-mishap? I feel so bad for Taiga, having to have someone grope her that way. Honestly, I can’t tell which one would have been worse, going out with one boob or being groped that badly. As for Ryuuji… man, he’s got guts, but I guess it was pretty ‘nice’ of him. (more…)
