Hmmm, this caught me by surprise. The promo pics looked awful, and the synopsis didn’t seem like anything new. I wasn’t even going to watch the first episodes if I didn’t see all these people predicting about how it’s going to be ‘big’ soon. I guess curiosity got the better of me, and I’m glad about that. Kannagi - 01

Pretty solid animation and a really cool opening theme. Also pretty lovable characters, even with your normal oblivious-to-the-world strange girl who pops out of nowhere… and the lead guy who just can’t help but think dirty, dirty thoughts. Tsk, tsk, tsk. The first episode didn’t introduce most of the cast yet, just the two mains and some voice on a phone. It was a bit slow at the start, but it got better. I’m kinda relieved I didn’t give up on it on the first five minutes. (more…)

Summary: A prophesy was made about a red-haired boy that will be born into a royal family. In the future, he will send ‘his people’ to disaster. Afterwards, war will wage between Malkuth and Kimlasca. At the present, servants are running around, looking for their Master Luke who has disappeared again somehow. Around this time, Natalia comes over.

Toradora! - 01

 Summary: The main character of the show is named Ryuuji. The episode starts with him cleaning his house up and cooking for his mother, who was passed out in the dining area. At the same time, a girl named Aisaka has just woken up and is sneezing over and over again. When Ryuuji’s mother asks him to open the window and let the light in, he tells her that’s already open - the new apartment building across has been blocking the sun out. Ryuuji gets unconsciously puts on an angry face because he says it’s the apartment’s faul their laundry is not drying. When she sees the face of her son, Ryuuji’s mother is happy because he looks just like his father - something which annoys him. (more…)
