Plot Summary: The story revolves around a typical high school boy named Kakeru Daichi and the can of melon juice soda that he bought from a vending machine. The can suddenly transforms into a beautiful but standoffish girl that Kakeru nicknames “Melon,” and more “Akikan” (”empty can”) girls appear. However, Akikan girls need to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive. - ANN
Thoughts: …Whut? Well, the character designs certainly kept me interested for about… thirty seconds, then I searched around for a plot summary. That just chased away any whatsoever interest I had. Sorry.

Asu no Yoichi!
Plot Summary: A boy trained by his father in the way of the “Ukiha Kamikaze” swordplay, Yoichi, has lived in the mountains, far from civilization for all seventeen years of his life. His father finds nothing more to teach him, and sends him to the city to lodge at the Ikaruga dojo to further his mental and physical capabilities. Four sisters live in the dojo and Yoichi begins a new more severe “training” regimen. - MAL
Thoughts: …Whut (again)? I guess it’s another harem anime. Never really interested in these types of shows.

Hetalia Axis Powers
Plot Summary: Think of it like WWII, except every country is a pretty boy instead. A hilariously stereotypical pretty boy. America loves burgers, Russia is into the vodka, and China has pandas and a Wok. It is centered mostly around Italy, who has both a North and South character. The Hetalia portion of the name is probably mocking Italy, as Hetare means ‘Useless’. - Baka-Updates Manga
Thoughts: I’ll check it out. I’ve heard about Hetalia SO many times already, usually from my fangirl friends who are into shipping the countries. I’ve never actually made an effort to find out what all the fuss is about, but I think I’ll look into the first episode and see how it goes from there. I admit, it’s a cute idea.

Maria†Holic
Plot Summary: The story centers on a sophomore named Kanako who enrolls in all-girls school because she has a phobia of men and wants to find her destined yuri partner. She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria — except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy.
Thoughts: Really interested. I really need another romantic comedy to watch, and this seems like the perfect thing that fits right now. I find even just the plot summary hilarious.

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo
Plot Summary: The story is set in the year 311 of the Orbital Calendar, when humanity has migrated to countless colony clusters in space. A space colony girl named Akiha Shishid? encounters a malevolent artificial intelligence named Leopard that has been installed on a colony. Akiha is joined by an Inter-Colony Police officer named Itsuki Kannagi, a taciturn young girl named Honoka Kawai, and a robot named Imoko “Imo-chan” Shishidou. - animedb
Thoughts: Neutral. The character designs look average, but the plot doesn’t seem like something I would enjoy. I’ll probably look at the first episode, anyway.
