Even if it did stray into some kind of romantic interest it doesn't mean it's so much as to be any kind of obsession or anything. He reacts the same way to cats, and he compliments Tsubaki and won't cut Blair's bare behind or anything, eh? Plus this definately did a lot more for him than simply that, it's some great character development. Totally GAR kinda UBW moment.
