Hakushaku to Yousei
First air: Sept 28
Plot Summary: The story is set in 19th century England and centers on a “fairy doctor” named Lydia. Her life takes a 180-degrees turn when she meets a legendary blue knight count named Edgar and his crew. He hires her as an adviser during his quest to obtain a treasured sword that was supposed to be handed down to him by his family.
Thoughts: Not too intrigued. I have to admit, the character designs for this one looks really classy, but I don’t think there’s anything special about the plot summary so far and it’s not something that’s on top of my must-see list. It’s pretty, but just doesn’t stand out, I guess. I’m not even sure I want to look at the first episode.

Yozakura Shijuusou ~Yozakura Quartet~
First air: Oct 02
Plot Summary: The story revolves a quartet of teenaged heroes: a super-strong girl named Hime, a mind-reader named Ao, a conjurer named Kotoha — and an ordinary, powerless boy named Akina. The three girls and Akina protect the city of Sakurashin from supernatural threats.
Thoughts: It looks okay. I liked the current promotional picture on the site, it’s dark and simple - most of the other pics look like they’re from a slice-of-life show, and I actually thought it was until I found the synopsis, haha. I like the character designs, and if anything, I think I’ll watch it for the first episode and see how it goes from there.

Tales of the Abyss
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: Luke fon Fabre, the son of Duke Fabre of the Kimlasca Kingdom, is 17 years old. He is the Light of the Sacred Flame who is destined to bring prosperity to Kimlasca. But since being kidnapped seven years ago by the Malkuth empire, he has been kept confined to the Fabre family mansion. The shock of the kidnapping erased all of Luke’s memories prior to the event. But one fateful day, a mysterious woman breaks into the mansion and sets off a chain of events that will change the world forever…
Thoughts: Very, very excited. I’m a huge fan of the game, and when I heard they were making an anime, I automatically thought that they were going to make a 3-4 episode OAV again that didn’t give the game any justice at all. I was wrong. Apparently, it’s 26 episodes long, which means they won’t need to bullshit the plot (much) to fit in everything, like they did for the past anime adaptions of the other games. Please, please don’t let my hopes go to waste.

Hyakko
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: The story follows the antics of four high school freshman girls, after they enroll into a huge private academy that teaches every grade from elementary school to high school.
Thoughts: Clueless. I don’t think I know enough about Hyakko to give a real oppinion right now. All I know is that it’s slapstick and that Aya Hirano (Misa, Konata, Haruhi) is the lead, but it’s not like I’m a big fan of hers. Her character also looks extremely perky (over the top perky, actually) and I don’t know if that’s a good thing.

Toradora!
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: A man with eyes that are so scary, so mean looking, that he’s been isolated by almost everyone he’s ever met. A girl who’s said to be as fierce as a tiger. There is one girl who isn’t afraid of him, the tiger’s best friend, and as a result he’s developed a crush on her. However, his only male friend is the idol of the tiger’s affection. Due to a misplaced love-letter, the two team up in this odd-pair romance to help the other succeed in their love-goals.
Thoughts: It looks cute. That’s one… small girl. Nothing special about the synopsis, there have been tons of slice-of-life romantic comedies with that story. The animation looks refreshing, though. I’m not looking forward to it that much.

Michiko to Hachin
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: The title’s Michiko is a free-willed “sexy diva” who destroys a supposedly inescapable prison fortress, while Hatchin is a girl fleeing her strict foster parents. The two join forces on an improbable escape to freedom.
Thoughts: Looks interesting. Nothing much to say, but the synopsis looks interesting enough to make me want to check it out.

First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: One of the noble families of England - Phantomhive, has a butler, Sebastian Michaels. He has unquestionably perfect knowledge, manners, talent with materials. martial arts and much more. But he serves a 12 year old master.
Thoughts: Heard it was nice. I’ve never read the manga, but a few people have mentioned it to me and I’ve seen some who went crazy over the trailers. It’s a comedy, even though it doesn’t look like it at first glance.

Shikabane-hime
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: She is an immortal. Shikabane Hime has has made a deal with Buddhist monk, Keisei. In order to finally reach Heaven, she must “kill” 108 corpses.
Thoughts: Love the promotional pictures. It looks dark, action-filled and interesting - and I have no idea what it means to “kill 108 corpses”. And I know I’m being just a bit too shallow, but I really like the promotional pictures. They’re simple and have really clean pictures and they also look intriguing. And yes, I judge titles I haven’t seen by how nice their promo pics are. |:

To Aru Majutsu no Index
First air: Oct ??
Plot Summary: In a world where science clarifies supernatural powers. In a huge college that has power development in its curriculum. To a resident high school student, Kamijou Touma, a pure white sister appears. She calls herself “Index” and says that sorcerers are chasing her. Thus, Kamijou Touma enters the world of the occult.
Thoughts: No comment. According to ANN, it’s genres are ‘action, drama, fantasy, science fiction’. I don’t really enjoy dramas unless it’s done in an amazing way, and I don’t see anything special about the summary. I’m not looking forward to it. (:
