Soul Eater - 29

This episode had a lot of ups and downs. The part where they focused on the witch siblings was pretty cool, and the part where Stein tried to train the Shibusen students was incredibly dull. I think the bad thing about Soul Eater is that they’re not very good at making scenes random dialogues. It’s a bit… painful to watch at times, and it’s a good thing they always make up for it with the dark scenes.

Medusa’s revival was really cool, and so was the explanation. I actually felt sorry for the mom of the girl she possessed, hahaha. Arachne’s territory had random creepy tidbits in it, which seemed really pointless at first, but it was fun to see all those masked things move in unison and just do… uhm, actually, nothing. Eruka’s back, too. Additionally, I’m really looking forward to how Arachne and Medusa will deal with each other in the future.
Black Star’s sudden power spurt is also an interesting plot development, even though Tsubaki is doing nothing but watch from the corners now. Doesn’t Black Star seem like he’s maturing even just a little bit? For some reason, I can’t help but think I’m the only one who has this perspective, haha. But he’s back to provoking everyone in his path into a battle, but he actually wins them now. Yey. But… it was always more fun to watch him fight with Tsubaki.
