Soul Eater - 31
This episode was a bit cheezy (okay, a lot cheezy) at times but it got better in the end. I still think they could figure out better ways to portray that, wow, Chrona is amazed she has friends now, rather than making it an after school special, but whatever. This episode is also making me wonder just where Ragnarok’s loyalty really lies. Apparently, he makes Chrona do everything Medusa orders - but why? I don’t understand what he’ll gain from it.
My favorite character (Justin) had a sort of cameo scene this episode. Yey! The scene with Shinigami making Spirit repeat after him so that Justin could read his lips was hilarious, especially how irritated it made Spirit.
Marie, on the other hand… is extremely happy, isn’t she? She was probably the easiest target for Chrona to betray. I hope her weapon form is extremely powerful, because her brains isn’t so much. Or maybe I shouldn’t be too hard on her, because it seems like the whole Shibusen trusts Chrona. I feel kind of sorry for Chrona, but at the same time, I don’t understand why she’s so afraid of Medusa. That must have been some intense trauma she went through while growing up.
