Minto no Ie

I just love how snarky Jade can be at times. And, for some reason, Dist’s character in the anime doesn’t give me that much of a strong impact as it did in the game. In the game, you just can’t help but be amused every time he comes on screen. He’s one of those characters with such a strange personality that you can’t tell if you’re annoyed or amused - but his character in the anime was kind of… well, blank. Just your usual noisy villain. Anyway, in this episode, we see Van being a pedo asking Luke to go with him and follow him without the knowledge of their companions.

I guess I’m really starting to realize why anime adaptions of games are never really that good. It’s so difficult to make an anime with a good flow while trying to stay true to the game. For example, the battles - ugh, that fight against Dist was pathetic. There was no whatsoever action, no momentum or anything. I think that’s what’s so difficult, because in the game, a whole party goes against the enemies - how do you turn that into an action-filled scene in anime? They all practically just watched each other and took turns to attack. That’s what bad, because the fights are all the same.

I guess it’s a good thing the plot is really starting to progress. I can’t wait for next episode.
