Tales of the Abyss - 08

Aaaand, Luke gets what was coming for him. I’m actually surprised they put so much in one episode, but I’m not complaining. I just thought they’d stretch the first half (the fall of the mining town) into one whole episode, because so far, the pacing has been like that - really slow and strange. I’m kind of happy they put so much, even if the climax suddenly dove in the second half of the episode.

I liked the ending of this episode, where Asch explains just who he really was. I still feel bad for Luke because it’s not his fault he was born a replica. I think people would care less and insult him less (those around him, anyway) if his personality was a bit better. Nobody would care if he was one - but he destroyed a whole town, so yes, they all have the right to insult him now. But he’s going to change soon. If you can’t figure out what he’s going to do with his hair just by looking at the preview, then, uhm… you haven’t been paying much attention to the spoilers in the opening.

I’ve been keeping up with the series as well. I’m hoping that it’ll give me that final push to play the game since I was extremely put off by Luke’s character.
