Toradora! - 09

I found Minori… extremely pretty in this episode, and not because of her character design (which is pretty cute but her hair can be too puffy at times) - but because of her sorta cool personality and her silly quirks. Anway, this episode was really good and extremely funny. I burst out laughing when Ami denied them as her companions when they were doing that silly hand thing in the train station. Taiga’s impressions of seeing Ami in the shower was hilarious, too. I found it even funnier that she just let Ami hit her after that - poor kid, she must have been so traumatized. Ryuuji’s trauma after Ami ‘tricked’ him was pretty funny, too. He went off and tattled to Taiga.

What I liked about this episode was that it balanced the humor and the drama. I liked Minori’s analogy between love and ghosts, even if I repeated the scene just to get it… and I hope I did. Her whole ‘I believe in it but I don’t believe people who’ve experienced it, but one day I know I’ll find the answer on my own’ kind of gist. It also got me wondering that she’s actually afraid of falling in love. I like how she gets along with Kitamura, though… speaking of Kitamura, he can be all kinds of dumb. Seriously, going out butt-naked just because he heard a guy’s voice and forgot there were girls? Uhm. Well, it did provide the humor, but… I think my liking of his character went down some more, haha.
